Update
Keep in mind U of M is huge and handles many cases everyday. We feel very fortunate to have even gotten an appt there so quickly. But now things will slow down, a lot. Especially compared to last week. Although it does not take away the fact that Andrea is still in a lot of pain and on many medicines. U of M called today and the first appt. for the Stealth MRI and Venogram machine is April 10th, then her pre surgical appt with the pediatric neurosurgeon will be on the 16th and he will then order the surgery date which would be 1 to 2 weeks later. Now, the best case would be: they have put Andrea on a urgent list for the tests and so we could get a call that the test would be done sometime between today and the 7th and if so then her pediatric neurosurgeon appt would be moved to the 7th and that would move the surgery date up. Regardless, it is out of our hands and we will continue to wait and keep Andrea as comfortable as possible. She is very disappointed but understands the importance of waiting for the best surgeon to do the surgery.
